The influence of whole-body mineral bath on skin properties

KAISER Slovthermae Slovak Therapeutic Mineral Spas Resorts Bratislava Slovakia Before and after a 20 minutes whole-body bath in the :mineral water of Dudince being 35°C warm we found increased pH of skin in several places - approximately by 1 54 pH in 36°C warm by 1 98 pH and in 37°C by 1 36 pH. The changes were significant from the statistical point of view. Similarly the humidity of skin increased and the skin wax decreased but the changes on different places of the body were not identical. wt
