Abstract: Dr. Matthias Klein-Lange Niedersächsische Akademie für ärztliche Fortbildung Hannover Zusammenfassung In Niedersachsen wurde der praktische Nutzen der Praxis-EDV als Informationsmedium in der ambulanten Gesundheitsversorgung Gegenstand einer zweijährigen Praxiserprobung. In einem zweijährigen Feldversuch wurden in Zusammenarbeit mit 20 Arztpraxen und Kliniken Akzeptanz Praxistauglichkeit und didaktische Qualität neuartiger Informationssoftware für den Praxiscomputer überprüft. Unter Koordination der KVN mit Unterstützung der Firmen Multi-Medica und IBM sowie zahlreicher deutscher Hochschullehrstühle wurde die Multi-Media-Software vorbereitet und im Rahmen des Praxisversuches weiterentwickelt. Es wurde deutlich daß für die Patienteninformation Video- Bild- und Textinformationen in Form kurzer Informationseinheiten Verwendung finden. Entscheidend für den Einsatz ist der schnelle Zugriff sowie eine vereinfachende und anschauliche Darstellung. Gesondert betrachtet werden müssen Lernprogramme für Patienten und Multi-Media-Programme für die ärztliche Fortbildung. Hier sind längere Informationssequenzen angemessen. Abstract Professional development of media in the medical practice In the German state Niedersachsen the practical advantage of Computers as an information medium in the out-patient care was tested in the medical practice for two years. In a two year study acceptance suitability and the didactic quality of new information software for practice computers were investigated in 20 medical practices. Under the supervision of the KVN the support of a Multi-Medica Corporation and IBM as well as numerous university departments the multimedia software was prepared and further developed during the trial in the medical practice. It became clear that videos pictures and text as short information units were helpful for the information of patients. The quick access and the simple and clear presentation is crucial for their usage. Teaching software for patients and multimedia programs for the continuing education of physicians have to be looked at separately. For this longer information units might be necessary.
