Abstract: The intestinal tract is a one-way road. That means, that besides nutrition all substances have to go this way, which are brought in the oral cavity in prophylactic or therapeutic intention.From all medical disciplines dentistry brings most of the foreign materials in the human body. But there are no investigations what takes place in the intestine or what do substances which penetrate the oral mucosa.Critical for medicine is, that in the intestine the gut-associated lymphatic tissue is located with more than 80 % of all lymphatic nodes. This system correspondents with the gut-flora. Both together are decisive for health or illness of the whole organism.The details collected from different parts of medicine give a so many-sided view of possible damages of immuncompetent tissues that medicine and dentistry are asked to think about their therapeutic rules and change them immediately in distinct parts.
