The Position of Medical Rehabilitation in the State Pension Scheme

Abstract: The central task of the Pension Scheme's medical means of rehabilitation is to increase the chances of a prolonged participation in gainful employment with its chronically ill members, in counteracting incapacitation or occupational incapacitation. The high percentage of early retired people who retire within the last five years before their regular retirement age, without any prior attempt of rehabilitation, indicates that many members in need of rehabilitation get rehabilitated too late or not at all.
