Abstract: Sclerotherapy is a methode, that produces a tissue proliferation by a local injection technique. Additional to this effect, there exists an influence to pain receptors.We describe the methode of treatment, their indications, the different sclerosing agents, contraindications and complications.A series of articles is planned to demonstrate the indications more detailed with description of the injection technique, special sclerosing agents and their quantity.
