Abstract: Electric stimulation measurements were taken at the lower arms and forefingers of 20 patients with degenerative rheumatic disorders. Sensible rheobase accomodative capacity and chronaxy were measured. In the course of spa treatment there was a significant increase of rheobase accompanied by a significant decrease of accomodation capacity and chronaxy. Results suggest an increase of threshold for long electric impulses and decrease of necessary stimulus duration during short impulses of high intensity.
