The Use of Music and Paraverbal Techniques with high risk mother/child dyads |
Journal/Book: Australian Music Therapy Association Conference Proceedings.. 1985; Australia. Australian Music Therapy Association 2/31 Abercrombie street 3103 Deepdene Australia. Collected Works.
Abstract: The use of music and paraverbal techniques was developed in a therapeutic nursery during group sessions. It was found music therapy sessions provided opportunities and proper experiences to broaden the quality and scope of behaviors between mother/child, peers and other members of the group. A significant observation was the overall growth and improvement in the quality of relationships between mother and child and consequent growth of the child.
