Der Einfluß meteorologischer Faktoren auf psychisch Kranke

Wehner (Hamburg) Zusammenfassung Um den Einfluß meteorologischer Faktoren auf psychisch Kranke zu objektivieren verglichen wir das Eintrittsdatum von 17 268 Patienten zwischen 1956 und 1969 mit den meteorologischen Angaben des schweizerischen Witterungskalenders der u. a. Hinweise auf Föhn Kaltfront Okklusion und Warmfront enthält. Dort wo sich zwischen dem Datum der Hospitalisation und bestimmten Wetterfronten ein signifikanter Zusammenhang herstellen läßt dürfte hypothetisch für dieses psychiatrische Krankheitsbild eine Wetterfühligkeit bestehen. Im einzelnen führten die Untersuchungen zu folgenden Ergebnissen: Schizophrene (vor allem paranoide und hebephrene Formen) reagieren auf Föhn Okklusion und Warmfront. Katatone Schizophrene werden durch Kaltfront-Einbruch irritiert die Schizophrenia simplex scheint auf Okklusion anzusprechen. Depressive sind meteorologisch besonders empfindlich. Am wenigsten sprechen periodische und Erschöpfungsdepressionen (Warmfront) am stärksten reaktive (Föhn und Kaltfront) neurotische und Involutionsdepressionen sowie die übrigen depressiven Zustandsbilder an (Föhn Kaltfront Okklusion Warmfront). Als schwierig erwies sich die Objektivierung bei den Neurotikern (zu geringe Datenmasse). Doch scheinen Pubertätskrisen und Charakterneurosen (Föhn) Zwangsneurosen (Kaltfront) sowie Angstneurosen (Okklusion) empfindlich zu reagieren. Psychopathen sprechen auf Okklusionen Arteriosklerotiker auf Kaltfront und Okklusion Alkoholiker und Toxikomane auf Föhn Kaltfront Okklusion und Warmfronteinbrüche an. Summary In order to get objective findings concerning the influence of meteorological factors on psychic sick we compared the date of hospitalisation of 17268 patients (1956-1969) with the meteorological details of the Swiss weather calendar. This calendar is containing among others facts as to "Foehn" cold front occlusion and warm front. If it was possible to bring the date of hospitalisation and certain forms of weather into a significant relation it was hypothetically anticipated weather sensivity for this psychiatric illness. The following results were obtained: Schizophrenics (especially paranoic and hebephrenic schizophrenics) are reacting to "Foehn" occlusion and warm front. Catatonic schizophrenics are irritated by beginning cold fronts; cases of schizophrenia simplex seem to react preferably to occlusions. Depressives are particulary sensitive to weather conditions. Periodic depressions and such of exhaustion (warm front) are affected the least reactive ("Foehn" and cold front) neurotic depressions and depression of involution as well as other depressive states ("Foehn cold front occlusion warm front) the most. By lack of data it was difficult to get objective findings of neurotics. But it seems that crisis in puberty and neuroses of character ("Foehn") obsessional (cold front) and anxiety neuroses (occlusion) are reacting in correspondence to meteorological events. Psychopaths seem to be affected by occlusions arteriosclerotics by cold front and occlusion alcoholics and drug addicts by "Foehn" cold front occlusion and beginning warm fronts. ___MH
