Sexual Abuse in Children - Recognition and Treatment of Evident and Masked Trauma Zusammenfassung Sexueller Kindesmissbrauch wird definiert als das Benutzen und die Ausbeutung von Kindern durch Erwachsene auf sexueller Ebene. Eine besondere Problematik stellt die sexuelle Gewalt innerhalb der Familie dar. Typisch hierfür ist die Chronizität des Missbrauchs durch die das Kind in Rollenkonflikte gestürzt wird. Sowohl intrafamilialer als auch extrafamilialer sexueller Missbrauch haben fast ausnahmslos negative Auswirkungen auf die Entwicklung der Kinder. Bei entsprechendem Verdacht hat eine einfühlsame körperliche Untersuchung sowie eine altersangepasste kinder-bzw.jugendpsychiatrische Diagnostik zu erfolgen. Oberstes Ziel einer Intervention ist der Schutz des Kindes. Die Indikation zu einer Psychotherapie richtet sich nach der Schwere der Symptomatik. Präventionsstrategien zielen v. a. darauf ab die Autonomie und Handlungskompetenz der Kinder zu steigern. Summary Sexual abuse in children is defined as the exploitation of children by adults for the sexual gratification of the Iatter. A particular problem is sexual violence within the family. The chronicity of the abuse by means of which the child is precipitated into role conflicts is typical. Whether inside or outside the family sexual abuse almost always has negative effects on the child's development. When such abuse is suspected a gentle physical examination and an empathetic ageadapted psychiatric diagnostic work-up are indicated. The overriding objective of an intervention is to protect the child. The indication of psychotherapy is determined by the severity of the symptomatology.
