Objektivität, Subjektivität und Arzt-Patienten-Beziehung

Abstract: The term 'objectivity' has two elements of meaning: 1. it should express a special substance and an universal validity and z. it presupposes a certain relationship between the person who recognizes and the things which are 'objectively' recognized. Such a relationship between subject and object is indicated by objectivity and is linked to the classical scientific methods, which isolate, analyze, measure, etc. an object.As 'objectivity' is admittedly a culturally subjective concept of truth, we propose a new term for this aspect of truth, which expresses, that a realization of a general subject is achieved from a meta level in a meta approach: Metativity.For the relationship between physician and patient, a creative subject-subject-dialog is described, which is founded an the recognition of the internal value of our patients and which contributes to the activation of the self-healing forces and a healthy development. The objective knowledge of details can be integrated usefully into such a beneficial dialog.
