Abstract: J. KOLESAR T. KAISER. M. MATEJ A KOCINGER Slovthermae Slovak Therapeutic Mineral Spas Resorts Bratislava Slovakia The authors assessed before and during whole-body baths in mineral water in Dudince spa during the 5th 10th 15th and 20st minute the skin temperature of the chest shoulder thigh and dorsum of the foot. Furthermore they measured the sublingual temperature heart rate systolic and diastolic blood pressure. From the data they calculated the mean skin and body temperature and also the double product. The measurements were made at a water temperature of 35 36 and 37°C. It was revealed that a whole-body mineral water bath in Dudince with a water temperature of 35 36 and 37°C causes a significant rise of the skin temperature the mean skin temperature the mean body temperature and leads to a significant drop of the systolic and diastolic blood pressure. The drop of the sublingual temperature is significant only at bath temperature of 35°C. The heart rate increases but the increase is significant only in bath temperatures of 36 and 37°C. The double product declines but the decline is significant only at bath temperatures of 35°C. wt
