Abstract: M. FLORIAN T. SBENGHE Gh. GEORGESCU D. CINTEZA J. ZAHARESCU Department of Physical Medicine Balneoclimatology and Rehabilitation Bucharest Romania Objective : To identify the vascular endocrine and metabolic changes induced by the natural therapeutical factors of romanian seaside to the patients with cardiovascular risk factors and to establish which natural elements have good effects on these type of patients. Material and methods : We studied in two years two groups of patients 40 persons each one; all of these had two cardiovascular risk factors at least dislipidemia being compulsory. The group A was treated with seaside factors including mud pack in the spa of Eforie Nord; the group B was treated only with climatic factors specific for a steppe clime in the spa of Techirghiol. We followed the patients after a week of treatment and at the end of cure by measuring the response of peripheric thermoregulation system the lipids levels the levels of some hormones like: serum cortisone serum angiotensine TSH T3 T4 catecholamines. Results : In group A we identified two subgroups by studying the answers at the balnear stress: one with important rise of the levels of lipids and of the cathecolamines associated with thrombotic risk (we defined this type of answer like an aggressive one). The other subgroups presented normal changes on chatecholamines and angiotensine levels. Group B had rising-lipids tendency with an "aggressive" answer. Conclusion : Some of the natural cure factors of the Romanian seaside could determine a hyperactive vascular endocrine and metabolic answer to the patients with cardiovascular risk factors. wt
