Akupunktur vor 5200 Jahren Die Tätowierungen der Tiroler Gletschermumie

Dorfer L.; Graz An der Hautoberfläche der 1991 in Tirol entdeckten Gletschermumie vom Hauslabjoch wurden insgesamt 47 strichförmige Tätowierungen entdeckt die in 15 Strichgruppen zusammengefaßt sind. 9 der 15 Tätowierungsgruppen liegen in unmittelbarer Nähe oder direkt auf den Lokalisationen klassischer Akupunkturpunkte. Ihre Kombination entspricht aus der Sicht der Akupunktur einer komplexen antiarthrotischen Therapie. - Nachdem die ältesten Zeugnisse einer Akupunktur-Anwendung in China aus dem ersten Jahrtausend v. Chr. stammen der Mann aus dem Eis jedoch vor 5200 Jahren gelebt hat könnte durch diese Entdeckung der Ursprung der Akupunktur um zwei Jahrtausende vordatiert werden. Auch kann China nicht mehr als isolierter Entstehungsort der Akupunktur angesehen werden. Abstract 5200 years of acupuncture. The tattoo marks an the Tirolfan glacier mummy: A total of 47 linear tattoos in 15 groups of lines were discovered an the skin surface of the mummy found in the Hauslabjoch glacier in 1991. Nine of the 15 tattoos are situated in the immediate vicinity of or directly over classical acupuncture sites. The combination corresponds to complex antiarthrotic acupuncture treatment. Since the oldest eye-witness accounts of acupuncture stem from China in the first millennium BC but the ice man lived 5 200 years ago this could predate the discovery of the origin of acupuncture by two thousand years.
