Die Entwicklung der Infrarotregulationsthermographie |
Abstract: Thermography was founded by Ernst Schwamm (19121978). The physicist Reeh developed an instrument on bolometer basis. With this instrument they explored the relationship between temperature radiation of the naked skin and the effect on the skin by various stimuli. They reported on this in december 1953.After foundation of the association in 1954 and renaming it in "Association for Thermodiagnostics" in 1958, the members elaborated until 1969 the basic elements of the thermodiagnostics up to the extension to the infrared regulated thermography. After death of Ernst Schwamm Prof. Dr. med. dent. Rost (dentist) followed as chairman of the association. He transferred the obtained results of the basic research and of the publications on to the contact measurements.Measuring instruments with direct body skin contact and non-contact instruments are basically different. From physiological view non-contact measuring should be preferred. There is no irritation by touching the skin.Thermoregulation only has a future if it is based on anatomic and neurophysiological principles.
