Gezielte Immunstimulation mit Thymus- und Organextrakten bei Tumorpatienten*Klinische Ergebnisse und die Bedeutung des Lymphozytentransformationstests

Abstract: The thymus and organ extract therapy is within the scope of a complex and integrated concept of biological cancer treatment the central component of the immunological alteration and stimulation.Since the availability of the lymphocyte typing and especially the proliferation testing for Organomed extracts, the even more sound use and the Argumentation of the necessity of this therapy with respect to the paying authorities become possible.The efficiency of the thymus and organ extract therapy as a specific immunostimulant has been proven in a clinical application with 24 tumor patients by regularly carrying out lymphocyte typing (Iaboratory Dr. Merten & Partner, Cologne). The patients with existing cellular immunodeficiency were administered 10 x 5 ml thymus, 5 x spleen, and 5 x mesenchymal extract i.m. for a period of 3 weeks. The immunostimulation could be proven clearly regardless of the tumor localization. lt was shown as a trend, that in the case of a previous combination of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, the effect of the organ extract therapy was lower in the first year than it was the case with a sole chemotherapy or radiotherapy before the treatment was carried out.lt has been possible, to find a correlation between a positive stimularity in the lymphocyte transformation test and the following therapeutic effect in the patient as a trend, and in this case all lymphocytic parameters improved on the average. In four cases a clear improvement of the lymphocyte typing has been achieved after a previously hardly effective therapy with preserved thymus peptide which is available in pharmacies.With a further scientific documentation and distribution of the described specific use of the thymus therapy and organotherapies, this should imply an increasingly methodical acceptance and improvement of the reimbursement rates for the paying authorities.
