Elektrobiologie und Bio-Elektromagnetismus

Abstract: After a brief review of the physics of electrodynamics, based essentially on the Maxwell equations, it is shown that the established electrobiology takes into account only the heat production of electromagnetic dissipation within biological systems. The field strengths from which on the effects become critical are then estimated consequently up to 14 orders of magnitudes higher than those which living systems react certainly to, e.g. the electroreception of a sensitivity of 5 nV/cm. This fact alone requires already a common investigation of electrobiology and bio-electromagnetism, i.e. the unified efforts in understanding both, the electromagnetic interaction within the body and the response to external fields, at the same time. There are already some serious models which point to a suitable solution of this problem. In addition, only quantum theory can complete the fragmentary knowledge about electromagnetic interactions in and between biological systems. The paradigm of biophotons that is most intensively investigated at present demonstrates the necessary insights and models for understanding electromagnetic bio-information by noninvasive, holistic investigations.
