Abstract: The application of mistletoe extracts in tumor therapy is a very common complementary therapy modality. lts main effects are an activation of the immune system and an enhancement of the quality of life of the patient. Since there is still some resistance against its acceptance, this article is written as an attempt to bring together some relevant scientific aspects of a mistletoe therapy and to evaluate its relevance in reference to standard tumor therapies.
