Die Hämaturie - Diagnostisches Vorgehen und therapeutische Ansätze

Medizin IV der Universitätskliniken des Saarlandes Homburg/Saar Zusammenfassung Die Hämaturie ist ein im ärztlichen Alltag häufig auftretendes Symptom. Aufgrund der vielfältigen zum Teil potentiell lebensbedrohlichen Ursachen der Hämaturie ist in Abhängigkeit vom Alter von der Anamnese und von den subjektiven Beschwerden des Patienten eine rationelle symptomorientierte stufenweise Diagnostik zur Klärung der Hämaturie durchzuführen. Dabei kann durch nichtinvasive Methoden wie Anamnese Urinanalyse Blutuntersuchung und Sonographie bei einer großen Anzahl der Patienten eine Differenzierung in renale bzw. postrenale Hämaturieursache erfolgen und der Einsatz von unnötigen invasiven Verfahren vermieden werden. Abstract Hematuria - diagnostic procedures and therapeutical approach Hematuria is a common clinical problem. It may arise from benign diseases posing minimal risk to the patient to potentially life-threatening conditions. Due to its many causes the evaluation of hematuria often requires various different diagnostic procedures. To prevent unnecessary diagnostic tests the workup should begin with noninvasive techniques such as history urinalysis laboratory data and ultrasonography.
