Approximately 77% of all clients were receptive to the routine evaluation of past suicide attempts, whereas approximately 20% were undecided. Only 3% of all respondents reported it was not a good idea to assess past suicide attempts routinely. The authors recommend including the routine assessment of suicide risk factors into intake protocols.
