Abstract: Andrea Dittrich; Deutsches Institut für Ernährungsforschung Potsdam-Rehbrücke Zusammenfassung Eine optimale Prävention und Therapie des Übergewichts erfordert das Zusammengehen ärztlicher Kompetenz mit methodisch und ernährungswissenschaftlich qualifizierter Beratung. Die Befragung von 57 Übergewichtigen (Fragebogen) 34 Ärzten (Fragebogen und Interview) und 4 Ernährungsberaterinnen (Interview) aus dem Land Brandenburg zeigt sowohl den Kooperationsbedarf als auch die Bereitschaft zur Zusammenarbeit. Wesentliche Mängel der bestehenden Situation sind vor allem fehlende Organisationsstrukturen für professionalisierte Ernährungsberatung aber auch ein geringer Bekanntheitsgrad der Beratungseinrichtungen. Als Modell einer funktionierenden Kooperation wird sowohl die unmittelbare Zusammenarbeit von Arzt und Ernährungsberaterin innerhalb einer Praxis als auch die mittelbare Zusammenarbeit durch Überweisung vom Arzt zur speziellen Ernährungsberatung vorgeschlagen. Abstract Health promotion and nutritional consultation of overweight patients - a task in the medical care For prevention and therapy of overweight the joined effort of physicians and nutritional consultants is suggested to be the most effective approach. To develop a model of cooperation the present situation of communication has been analyzed by questioning 57 overweight volunteers (by questionnaire) 34 physicians (both by questionnaire and interview) and 4 nutritional consultants (by interview). The physicians and the nutritional consultants feel the lack of communication and they express the wish to improve the cooperation. There is also a need for organizing structures of such collaboration e.g. nutritional consultation either as part of the medical practice or as a special practice where the patient is to be referred to.
