Abstract: Compares 2 musical improvisations conducted during different therapeutic stages by a 30-yr-old woman suffering from chronic migraine headaches to examine a music psychotherapy treatment using a triangulation of perspectives method. The qualitative method describes the capacity of patients, therapists, and independent observers to perceive the affective content of the material produced in treatment, as well as its aspects relative to the therapeutic relationship. The way the S's psychological struggles and improvement are reflected in the content, subjective responses, and thematic categories of the musical sessions are discussed.
