Abstract: Many technological advances in amplification have been made in recent years. Full dynamic-range compression (FDRC), multiband signal processing, multimemory capability, digital feedback reduction, and frequency transposition are of particular interest as are the advantages and limitations of fitting children with devices that have these features.
