Experimentelle Erfahrungen mit der Wirkung von Lokalanästhesie bei psychischen und psychosomatischen Störungen

Abstract: The mental (central nervous) connections which have been found out, broaden the theoretical, diagnostical and therapeutical perspectives of the neural therapy. A different mental position with respect to the academically rational and analytical psychology, concerning the assessment of feelings and the holistic physical experience has caused this research: a physical correspondency has been presupposed and this was regarded as important for mental achievement. In order to prove this systemic interactions of psyche and soma (with morphological and 'GestaltÂ’ qualities), local anesthesia has been used for the variation of the somatic conditions in a psychosomatic combination of methods already at the beginning of the seventies. With this combination it has been possible to verify important assumptions. Among others, it was possible to prove the systemic connection as well as the interaction of complex functions of the body and high psychic performance based on the holistic and morphologic qualities. In addition, it has been possible to show and to influence integrative and disintegrative processes, which lead to the development of respective therapeutical methods.
