Abstract: The disease of lipids in total of 84 patients with secondary hyperlipidemia in 3 connected clinical studies was compared against the therapeutical experience with fibrates. After 6 weeks of therapy, the parameters: total cholesterine, LDL-cholesterine and triglycerides showed the tendency to diminish, and in HDL-cholestine to increase. In prolongating the therapy to a total of 12 weeks, significance was just missed for total-cholesterine with p<0.3 and HDL-cholesterine with p<0.45- Triglycerides react markedly, especially in pathologically raised starting values. The decrease of 5%, 6.7% and 12.9% resp. are remarkable in relation to fibrates with 10 to 15%. Thus a phytopreparation could show it's worthiness in therapy of hyperlipidemia.
