Abstract: A successful sanitation of amalgam must be much more than the removal of the involved fillings. By means of a suspected amalgam load, the author shows selective steps for testing and a therapy which make the total removal of the amalgam fillings and the remaining contaminants possible and which help to prevent new damages.
