Erfolge und Langzeitwirkung der Körperakupunktur bei Patienten mit Rhinopathia pollinosa und bronchialer Beteiligung

Abstract: 55 patients with pollen allergy have been treated in some cases for several years preseasonally with body acupuncture. The success rate was 69.1% and that was clearly above the other cases with 53% where placebos were administered. There was no difference in the results according to age, duration of the previous disease, kinds of allerdies, affected organ, previous deallergisation, insurance status and sex but it was possible to see as a trend a better effect in the case of patients insured with private health insurance and substitute private health insurance as well as in the case of patients, who have not been deallergized before. In some cases, the success achieved with acupuncture lasted more than 3 years, in the case of a partial succcess it seemed to be effective only for a shorter period of time. With the help of preseasonal acupuncture it is possible to achieve an increase of the effectiveness in 50% of the cases.
