Results reveal more music (71%) than nonmusic (29%) segments, an average of 5 music segments per program directed toward teaching academic skills, 3 segments directed toward social skills, frequent use of adult male voices to sing songs, and use of a wide variety of musical styles. Music variables for additional research and for use in music therapy procedures are discussed.
