Abstract: Aconitum napellus is an important homoeopathic medicine. Its botany and toxicology are described and traditional and homoeopathic medical indications discussed. The veterinary drug picture is presented, with the major therapeutic indications including fever and acute respiratory disease. Case studies from 6 species are given.
