Auswirkungen einer seriellen Bestrahlung mit VB-haltigem Licht auf Einflußfaktoren der Blutfluidität

Abstract: Contradictory effects of UV-irradiation on blood rheology have been described in literature.12 healthy volunteers have been exposed to light containing UVB for 12 times starting with 70% of MED and increasing the dose by 1 0% in each of the following sessions. As controls 12 other volunteers were exposed to common neon light. Before the first and 2 days after the last irradiation the relevant determining factors of blood rheology were measured in venous blood.A decrease of hematocrit and red blood cells was found, whereas the mean cellular volume remained unchanged. Fibrinogen showed no difference. Total protein was found decreased in both groups.The results point at positive effects of UV-irradiation on blood rheology by means of a decrease of hematokrit. Dilution of the blood is discussed as the major causative factor.
