Abstract: The acute medicine is the domain of the classical medicine. However, with patients suffering from chronic diseases there aye situations in which methods and drugs are clearly indicated which do not belong to the classical medicine. It is the duty of the physician to avail himself of all possibilities of furthermore education - also in other fields than classical medicine, e. g. natural treatment and homoeopathy, as far as justifiable - in the treatment of his patients suffering from chronic diseases. In this, he has also to pay attention to the jurisdiction. He should especially know that according thereto he is obliged to use all his knowledge in other than the classical medicine for the patient who according to fundamental judgements of the Federal Court of Justice and of the Federal Social Court has a right to get the costs therefore paid by his health insurance.
