Forschungsdefizite in den unkonventionellen medizinischen Richtungen

Abstract: By order of the Federal Ministry for Research and Technology the University of Witten /Herdecke has carried out an investigation into the state and situation of research in unconventional medicine (UM). It showed that an the one hand there are considerable deficits at all levels of research in UM, concerning both basic and clinical-therapeutical research. One the other hand there are some examples of scientific papers an UM topics which demonstrate that research in this area is both possible and justifiable and may lead to interesting results. For future research in UM it appears to be absolutely essential to increase both the quantity and the methodical quality of research.
