Radon-Balneotherapie - neue Aspekte.

Abstract: Radon is a radioactive rare gas which emits alpha rays. In particular high concentrations as they occur in uranium and various other mines Radon increases in proportion to the exposition the risk of lung cancer development. In the range of very low doses however like those used for therapeutical purposes the situation is quiet different. Biopositive effects result from the stimulation of cellular activity and from the fact taht regulatory mechanisms are put into operation. Radon ist ein radioaktives -Strahlen-emittierendes Edelgas. In sehr hoher Konzentration wie sie insbesondere in Uranminen auftritt ist das Risiko zur Induktion von Bronchialkarzinomen proportional zur Exposition erhöht. Im Bereich sehr niedriger Dosen dagegen wie sie in der Radon-Balneotherapie zur Anwendung gelangen werden Zelleistungen stimuliert und Regulationsmechanismen in Gang gesetzt die in ihrer Bilanz einen biopositiven Effekt ergeben.
