Tumortherapie 2000 - Konzepte, Modelle, Ergebnisse und Hilferufe |
Abstract: lt is shown that the analysis of the interactions between the tissue cells provides the necessary tool for understanding the dynamics of normal and malignant growth. Based on the established theory of R. H. Dicke one can derive a necessary and sufficient condition for tumour growth. Up to now, this criterion has, without any exception, been experimentally confirmed by biophoton analysis. On this basis we are able to examine objectively the efficacy of cytostatic compounds in individual cases. Experience confirms that, in principle, there is some positive action of biological cytostatics. However, it turns out that rather complex and individual tumor-host-interactions influence the therapeutic effects much more than those of the malignant cells. The results indicate that in the long run it might be more helpful to support individually the strong, but latent healing power of the normal tissue within the tumor, rather than to destroy this tissue under all circumstances.
