Urologische Universitätsklinik Klinikum Großhadern München Zusammenfassung Bei streßinkontinenten Frauen sind anamnestisch und klinisch häufiger Zystitiden festzustellen als bei kontinenten Frauen. Die antibiotische Behandlung einer Harnwegsinfektion kann sowohl zur Beseitigung einer Urge- als auch einer Streßinkontinenz führen und ist somit vor einer Inkontinenzoperation unerläßlich. Eine suprapubische Harnableitung und eine gezielte antibiotische Behandlung bei postoperativer Harnwegsinfektion sind entscheidend für das Operationsresultat. Bei postoperativ auftretenden rezidivierenden Harnwegsinfektionen ist eine niedrig dosierte antibiotische Langzeitprophylaxe indiziert. Urinary Tract Infection and Stress Incontinence of the Woman: Women with stress urinary incontinence (SUI) reveal a higher rate of cystitis than continent women. Antibiotic therapy for manifest urinary tract infections (UTI) may cure incontinence and is therefore mandatory prior to incontinence surgery. Suprapubic bladder drainage and antibiotic therapy following postoperative UTI manifestation are essential in order to consolidate operative results. Patients with recurrent UTI following reconstructive surgery benefit from low-dose long-term antibiotic prophylaxis. ab
