UV-Therapy in Physical Medicine and Spa Medicine in Germany

Abstract: Inst.f.Med.Baln.u.Klimat. LMU München The climatic situation of Germany leads to quite rare natural sun exposition in normal life. In German Spa Medicine the patients are ordered to stay outside as much as possible. Of course the most important therapeutical aims are approvements - in the physical working capacity and - in lung functions. But there is a renaissance of sun exposition especially intending to cause a slight form of sun burning (UV-B) in order to force the organism to - biopositive reactions. Several effects of natural and artificial UV-expositions were pointed out. Those benefits were compared to several risks including melanoma in Germany. hl
