Abstract: Music therapy always includes a pedagogical component. The approach of Lilli Friedemann is described, which allows patients to really express themselves through sound, experience personal growth, and address life conflicts. Her musical games permit the patient to gain familiarity with the group situation and with musical instruments, and also to acquire specific musical skills. Finally, the Friedemann method prepares the patient for school and social interactions. (author)
