Abstract: A degree of convergence, both in content and research methods, between music psychology and music therapy is currently taking place; this convergence can be inferred from changes occurring in the scientific and the anthropological aspects of each discipline. Cooperation on the level of theory formation, development of methods, and empirical research projects seems both possible and desirable. Concrete examples of cooperation are cited here. (author)
