Abstract: The present paper reports in view of the therapeutical use of HOT (haematogene oxydation - therapy) the complex interactions between electromagnetic waves and biomolecules in the region of UV and visible Light.The phenomens of photochemical reactions and of electron-photon-energytransfer (photodissociation, isomerisation, anihilation, photoreduction, photodynamical events u. a.) are explained in details.In the following chapter biophysical and biochemical properties of singulett-oxygen and the photochemical consequences of type-l- and type-II-Reactions are described.
