Journal/Book: AHZ. 1991; 236: 3-10/56-57.
Abstract: Therapeutic success of homoeopathy often is considered as a placebo effect by the opponents. Placebos are capable of causing universal effects. Variables of effectiveness as well as starting points of explanation and indications will be described. The investigation of a possible therapeutic difference between homoeopathy and placebo with the aid of recent controlled doubleblind trials comes to the conclusion that in spite of a few difficulties homoeopathy has succeeded in prooving statistically significant results for some indications and drugs by means of epidemiological methods.
