Problematik der Lebertherapie

Abstract: The evaluation of the positive results of the liver therapy is for various reasons very difficult. Therefore, there are no results that are sufficiently ensured and we are dependent an long-term experiences gathered with a great number of patients. Any measures may be deemed established which areare symptomatically acting as liver protecting substances. To these belong vitamine B12, folic acid, orotic acid, thioetic acid, essential phospholipids. Partially established but in part already left are corticosteroids, immune suppressives, mesenchyme suppressives. Not yet ensured and under investigation are immune modulators, virustatics and collagen inhibitors. Two new principles of action are hopeful in liver therapy: for the chronic viral inflammations the glycyrrhinic acid, for the treatment of the primarily biliary processes the ursodesoxycholic acid.
