An investigation into the validity of the Bio-Vincent Technique as a test for cancer |
Author(s):
,Abstract: The Bio-Vincent technique depends on three electrical measurements: pH, rH2 (related to oxidation-reduction potential) and resistivity, of blood, saliva and urine. These nine measurements are then said to provide an indication of thegeneral state of health, and to have diagnostic value in early cancer. In a comparison of 31 patients suffering from histologically proven cancer with 31 normal controls, we found that although on average some differences reached significance, the overlap was such that no individual patient could have been diagnosed. Moreover, four of them were in the reverse of the predicted direction. We therefore conclude that the technique is not reliable as a test for cancer.
