Klinische Erfahrungen bei der Behandlung von Patienten mit peripherer arterieller Verschlußkrankheit (paVK) mittels Ultraviolettbestrahlung des Eigenblutes (UVB)

Abstract: Aus der Abteilung für Kardiologie und Angiologie (Leiter: MR Prof. Dr. sc. med. S. Müller) der Klinik für Innere Medizin (Direktor: OMR Prof. Dr. sc. med. G. Wessel des Bereiches Medizin der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena Dr. sc. med. G. Pöhlmann Frankfurt/M. Zusammenfassung Mitte der 70er Jahre wurde die UVB in unserer Klinik eingeführt. Wegen des damals sehr geringen Wissens um die Wirkungsweise bzw. -effekte der Methode haben wir anfangs nur sogenannte "hoffnungslose" Fälle mit UVB behandelt. Durch positive Behandlungsergebnisse ermutigt setzten wir die Methode zunehmend auch bei Patienten mit paVK im Stadium III und Ilb ein. Die Ergebnisse eigener Untersuchungen sowie die der Literatur konnten belegen daß die UVB in der Lage ist die a priori erhöhte pathologische Plasmaviskosität und/oder Erythrozytenaggregation zu senken. Es werden Indikationen Nebenwirkungen und Kontraindikationen der UVB aufgezeigt. Summary In the middle of the seventies the UVB was introduced in our clinic. At the beginning we have only treated the so-called "hopeless" cases with UVB (uv radiation treatment of the own blood) because of the very little knowledge about the mode of action and the effects respectively of this method at that time. Encouraged by positive results of the treatment we increasingly used the method also in patients with paVK (pheripheral arterial occlusion) in the stages III and Ilb. The results of own investigations as well as such of the literature were able to demonstrate that the UVB is capable to reduce the a priori increased pathological viscosity of the Plasma and/or the aggregation of the erythrocytes. Indications side-effects and contra-indications of the UVB are shown. wt
