Der Einfluß des Koppelmediums bei einer semistatischen Beschallung

Abstract: Aus dem Institut für Physiotherapie (Direktor: MR Prof. Dr. sc. med. R. Callies) der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena Zusammenfassung Zur Untersuchung der thermischen Wirksamkeit einer Ultraschalltherapie in Abhängigkeit vom Koppelmedium (Paraffinöl/Wasser) sowie von der Energieübertragung (kontinuierlich/pulsiert)wurde die Temperaturerhöhung im anatomischen Präparat bei semistatischer Ultraschallapplikation gemessen. Während sich bei Paraffinölankopplung zwischen kontinuierlichem und pulsiertem Ultraschall kein Unterschied zeigte betrug bei Wasserankopplung die thermische Wirkung von kontinuierlichem Ultraschall nur etwa 30% gegenüber pulsiertem Ultraschall. Summary To study the thermal effectiveness of ultrasonic therapy in dependence on the coupling medium (liquid paraffin water) as well as on energy transfer (continuous/pulsed) the rise of temperature was measured on anatomical preparations with semistatic ultrasound application. Whereas no difference between continuous and pulsed ultrasound was observed with liquid paraffin coupling the thermal effect of continuous ultrasound with water coupling was only about 30% of that of pulsed ultrasound. ___MH
