Abstract: Six psychotherapeutic models are defined and described--biomedical, behavioral, psychodynamic, cognitive, humanistic, and holistic. In tables, major contributors to each model are listed along with the earmarks of the therapist's role and therapeutic techniques that are used in the particular model, its special terminology, and the methods it uses to evaluate change in clients.
