Fifty years of music therapy at the University of the Pacific

Abstract: Presents a history of music therapy beginning with its inception in 1937 at what was then called the College of the Pacific (COP). The music therapy major was approved by COP in 1946. The expansion of the coursework available in music therapy is noted, as is the continuing tradition of serving where needed in the community.
