Abstract: The article is a reflection of a lecture given for the 'Vereniging van werkers in de Psychotherapeutische Gemeenschap' (association of workers in the psychotherapeutic community). The author explains her working situation and the specific problems. The musical playing of various groups is analyzed and then linked up to Ehrenzweig's theory. In this, she indicates how the themes of symbiosis and individuation in music are represented independent from the phase the group is in.
