Sinusitis

Abstract: The sinusitis is in general treated under the aspect of inhibited efflux and blocked secretion and that using antibiotics, mucolytics, inflammation inhibiting as well as deswelling drugs. Too little attention is paid to the functional aspects of the resistance of the mucous membranes. By means of nutrition treatment together with directiong the symbiosis the resistance of the respiratory mucus membrane can be increased. The efflux of the secretion and also the perfusion of the mucosa can be improved with acupuncture and that without exposure to medicaments. Possibilities for the homoeopathic treatment of the acute as well as chronic sinusitis are described.
