Abstract: Checking the translation of W. and O.E. Boericke´s "Pocket Manual of Homoeopathic Materia Medica" into german, 3rd revised edition, concerning the quality of translation, serious mistakes distorting the meaning appear, which render the book useless for the homoeopathic practicioner. A carefully revised translation, using the original german quotes is necessary.
