Die Wirkung von transplantierten embryonalen Haifisch-Leberzell-Suspensionen bei chronischem Leberschaden

Abstract: As it is very well known that the shark has evidently a perfect immune system and on the other hand embryonic cell suspensions from mammals are - if early enough prepared - very well tolerated and not at all rejected as "foreign", it seemed to make sense, to try embryonic material from sharks to apply in the human therapy. So one of us (K) injected himself a suspension from embryonic cell material from the Blue Shark (Cacharius glaucus), which was tolerated without any side effect. Than after having the same results with a group of volunteers we could start to try the systemic application of shark embryo cell suspension s.c. in the human therapy. A 76-year-old patient with a chronic liver damage recieved a subcutaneous shot from those cell suspensions. His liver enzymes did normalize themselves in a short time, while the Cholesterol for example did not change. This proves a specific efficiency. The clinical research will be continued. Hopefully this therapy could be important in the treatment of chronic metabolic diseases in future.
