Sinusitis

Abstract: The sinusitis is in general treated under the aspect of inhibited efflux and blocked secretion and that using antibiotics, mucolytics, inflam mation inhibiting as well as deswelling drugs, Too little attention is paid to the functiona aspects of the resistance of the mucous membranes. By means of nutrition treatment together with directing the symbiosis the resistance of the respiratory mucous membrane can be in creased. The efflux of the secretion and also the perfusion of the mucosa can be improved with acupuncture and that without exposure to medicaments. Possibilities for the homoeopathic treatment of the acute as well as chronic sinusitis are described.
